Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions
Scope 1 (Direct)
Scope 1 emissions include stationary combustion, mobile combustion, fugitive emissions and process emissions. JSG’s primary operation is wholesaling local and imported products to a network of distributors. As such, JSG does not emit a significant volume of Scope 1 GHG’s.
Scope 2 (Indirect)
JSG has begun recording its scope 2 emission by capturing the electricity consumption from its energy providers. In doing so, this will provide management with a quantitative measure to determine the effectiveness of decisions made to reduce energy consumption.
Scope 3 (Supply chain)
Scope 3 emissions are all indirect emissions (not included in scope 2) that occur in the supply chain, including both upstream and downstream emissions.
JSG intends to reach out to its major supply chain partners, such as SKF, Coopers and Intecs, to share reported GHG emissions, thereby encouraging one another to make reductions.
Wastes
Packaging & Pallets
In recent years, JSG has sought to increase the proportion of biodegradable material used in its packaging and pallets. JSG encourages and supports supply chain partners to the same.
Chemicals
JSG does not handle a significant volume of chemicals as part of its main business however, years ago MUSTER made a significant change to supply fluorine-free foam.
Recyclables & Food Scraps
JSG actively manages correct waste disposal.

Centralised Lubrication Systems
The heart of JSG Industrial Systems has been its application design and supply of centralised lubrication systems. A direct benefit of centralised lubrication is in the reduction, if not elimination, of grease spillage. Many greases that our customers use contain additives that can be ecologically damaging.
Additionally, lubrication management systems significantly prolong the lifespan of capital equipment, thereby reducing the turnover rate and consumption of industrial components and equipment.
JSG’s Wayside rail lubrication specifies a biodegradable grease, thereby ensuring that what grease does get dispersed along the track is not ecologically harmful.
Muster F3 Foam Concentrate
Muster F3 foam concentrate contains no fluorines that are considered bio-persistent and therefore it is not harmful to the environment. This meets the requirements of EPAs around the world, for the absence of PFOS/PFAS chemicals
in the composition of the foam.
Non-Pressurised Fuelling Systems
The Flomax non-pressure system provides rapid dispensing of fuels with no spillage and contamination of the surrounding environment. Traditional, pressurised systems dominated the industry for years, often having issues with operators overfilling tanks and spilling diesel, causing ecological damage.

Automatic Lubrication Systems
Manual lubrication involves humans getting into situations that risk their own well-being. Placing a reservoir in a safe location for refill, and distributing lubricant through grease lines, significantly reduces the risk posed to service workers.
Fire Suppression Systems
The primary role of a Muster fire suppression system is to provide one or more operators of industrial equipment time to safely extract themselves from harm’s way.
Non-Pressurised Fuelling Systems
Pressurised systems have had a history of overfilling and tank damage. This introduces and increases safety risks in the workplace. Eliminating spillage by using a Flomax non-pressurised system eliminates those safety risks.

Security Cyber
IT systems are continually improved to combat against the threat of cyber risks, and policies are approved to provide employees with boundaries, guidelines and training on how to go about their duties to ensure that cyber risks are eliminated or minimised.
Inventory
The lifeblood of JSG is the products that flow from its suppliers, through JSG, to its customers. Loss and damage of product is an unnecessary cost and burden to the organisation and, as such, appropriate infrastructure and processes are in place to ensure the security of the JSG’s inventory.
